Welcome to Leitchfield, Kentucky!
We're so excited to celebrate our happily ever after with you! Leitchfield holds a special place in our hearts because it's where Jason popped the question, so it only felt right to begin our next chapter together here, too.
Whether you're making a weekend getaway out of our wedding or just passing through, we hope you'll take some time to explore the area, enjoy a little Southern hospitality, and make some memories of your own!
From beautiful lakes and scenic countryside to local restaurants and sweet treats, there's a little something for everyone.
We're so glad you're here, and we can't wait to celebrate with you!
With love, the future Haleys
Steak & Stone holds a special place in Ali and Jason's story. It's where the couple celebrated after Jason proposed, so it had to be on the list.
Housed in the historic Alexander building on Leitchfield's public square, it's a Kentucky-themed steakhouse with premium steaks aged at least 21 days, pasta, burgers, and wood-fired pizza. It's also a Kentucky Proud business with over 100 Kentucky bourbons behind the bar.
If you're in town for the wedding, they highly recommend stopping in for a meal on the square.
Mexican food has a special place in Ali and Jason's story.
Their first date was at a Mexican restaurant in Smiths Grove, so they can't resist a good plate of tacos and a basket of chips and salsa. If you're craving Mexican while you're in town, Mi Camino Real is a great stop in Leitchfield.
Jason's order never changes: three or four soft beef tacos with cheese only. Ali goes for a taco salad with no cheese or sour cream, plus guacamole and rice.
Order your own way, or steal one of theirs!
This is Ali and Jason's go-to.
The couple are regulars, and it's a crowd favorite with their family whenever they come into town. In fact, Ali's mom, her stepdad, and Ali ate here before visiting Heavenly View for the first time, so it has a little wedding history of its own.
Jason always orders the chicken tenders and fries. Ali goes for the grilled cobb salad with no cheese or croutons and extra thousand island dressing.
It's casual, easy, and a great spot to grab a meal before or after the festivities.
The way to Ali's heart is with a cup of coffee, and Storehouse is where she gets hers.
Back when she taught at Grayson County High School, Wednesdays and Fridays were the best days of the week, because that's when Storehouse delivered to the school. Her students may have learned a lot, but none of them learned to stand between Ali and her coffee order.
Her go-tos are the personal charcuterie boards, a flavored Lotus energy drink or lemonade, and a strong iced espresso with oat or almond milk and sugar-free flavoring.
Pro tip: if you see Ali on the morning of the wedding, make sure she's holding one of these before you say anything.
Every couple has a savory one and a sweet one, and Twin Lakes has something for both.
Jason is the savory half, and his order is a juicy cheeseburger with a side of fries. Ali is the one with the sweet tooth, and with gluten-free and dairy-free options on the menu, she never has to skip the good stuff.
A creamery and a grill under one roof is the kind of compromise every couple dreams of. Come hungry, save room for dessert, and don't be surprised if Ali is already eyeing the sweets while Jason finishes his fries.
Jason is a plain water guy. Ali believes water is a blank canvas that deserves some flavor. She's also never been seen without a drink in hand, and more often than not, it's two or three. If you spot her at the wedding with a drink in each hand, don't ask questions.
Farm Life Nutrition is right up Ali's alley, no pun intended. It's all fun drinks that taste good and come with some nutritional value, so she can sip guilt-free. Jason has been eyeing the sugar-free options and is curious, but he hasn't taken the plunge yet. Maybe the wedding weekend will be the day.
Stop by for a drink on your way to the festivities. You can't go wrong, and Ali will approve.
Ali is a shopper at heart, and Watson and Co is exactly her kind of place: a little bit of everything, with something for everyone. She can happily lose an afternoon browsing the Skinny Syrup selection (naturally, it pairs well with her coffee habit), outfits for her porch goose, and the home decor, just to name a few of her favorites. There's also cute clothing and accessories, so you may find something to pick up for the big day or take home as a souvenir.
Jason will tell you to budget extra time here. Ali will tell you it's only a quick stop. And yes, the goose has more outfits than Jason.
If Watson and Co is Ali's everyday shop, The Loft is her treasure hunt. This unique, vintage spot is full of cute clothes, accessories, home decor, and Ali's favorite: candles. Her nose has never walked past a candle shelf without a full inspection.
What keeps Ali coming back is that the inventory is always changing, with fun finds you can't get anywhere else. Plus, a lot of it is homemade, which makes it even better. Stop in for a one-of-a-kind souvenir or a gift for someone back home, and don't be surprised if you leave with a candle (or three).
When you're done, turn the corner to find one of the newest boutiques in town, Cotton Mill. Ali says it's only a quick stop, and Jason knows better.
Oopsie Daisy is trouble for Ali, because it combines two of her favorite things: flowers and a boutique. The owner is the absolute sweetest and so creative that she's always finding the trendiest clothing and accessories, handbags, and shoes. From dresses to bottoms and tops, you're bound to find something in your size that's affordable and comfortable.
And don't leave without a beautiful bouquet for your home. Ali never does.
Ali and her brother, Clint, spent a big chunk of their childhood at water parks just like this one, so it holds a soft spot in her heart.
It's a great place for the whole family, and for adults who are kids at heart, to gather and cool off. Whether you're a lazy river cruiser, a thrill junkie for the slides, or a dedicated sunbather, there's something here for everyone. If you're traveling with family, it's a fun stop before or after the wedding.
Jason doesn't even have to lay out to get a nice tan. Ali, on the other hand, wears SPF 90 and can still turn tomato red. That doesn't stop her, though. You can still find her floating in the lazy river to cool off or tucked under an umbrella with her Kindle in hand.
This is where Jason and Ali took their engagement pictures, and it's one of Mavrick's favorite places to go for a walk. Mavrick has strong opinions about the trail, and he's never been wrong.
It's a great spot to stroll along the walking trail, grab some lunch and have a picnic, enjoy the peaceful ponds and do a little fishing, or just soak up the fresh Kentucky air. If you're looking for a quiet moment before the big day, this is the place.
Vendors Village is an indoor flea market and antique mall packed with local vendors selling antiques, customized clothing, and vintage finds. It's the perfect place for people like Ali, who prefer to be indoors with the AC on a hot summer day, happily spending money.
Jason, meanwhile, would rather be miles up the road, outside at US 60 Dragstrip in Hardinsburg. That's the beauty of it: there's truly something for everyone here.
Plan to spend several hours looking at all the treasures this small town has to offer.
A Little Local Tip!
Many of our favorite spots are locally owned, so hours may vary, especially on weekends. We recommend checking business hours before visiting.
